According to Meteo Swiss next week will be hot in Switzerland. In an article published yesterday it said the likelihood of high temperatures next week seems to be confirmed.
Temperatures on the plateau could rise to between 32 et 35°C. Anyone hoping to find sub zero temperatures will need to get above 4,500 metres high, possibly even 5,000 metres, said the meteorological service.
These abnormally high temperatures will have a direct impact on the permafrost destabilizing high altitude rocky slopes and increase rocky glacier movement.
While the duration and intensity of the heatwave is difficult to accurately predict, Meteo Swiss expects it to cover most of next week with the hottest days likely to be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with storms likely to return towards the end of the week.
