Majorities in all cantons voted against the self-determination initiative.
While most cantons were against providing extra financial support to farmers keeping livestock with horns, five cantons had majorities in favour of it. The cantons of Glarus (50.9%), Basel-City (56.8%), Basel-Landschaft (51.6%), Ticino (50.4%) and Geneva (59.8%) were all largely in favour of the plan.
The welfare fraud investigation vote was accepted by 64.7% of Swiss voters, with nearly all cantons in favour, a result in line with the Federal Council’s position. Only the cantons of Jura (51.4%) and Geneva (58.6%) had majorities voting “no” on this initiative.
