Genève chiens, a local dog owners association has posted a warning on its website, after warnings from dog owners were posted on the association’s Facebook page.
Parks mentioned include: parc Bertrand, parc La Grange and parc Château-Banquet. One dog has died according to the association.
Affected dog owners say vets found traces of rat poison in their dogs. The association, which sent a letter to Geneva’s police chief, says it is likely that poisoned food has been intentionally placed in parks.
In the letter the association mentions reports of dog noise complaints from park neighbours and the launch of a petition entitled “public tranquillity” by the inhabitants of a building close to parc Bertrand.
