According to Swiss broadcaster RTS, 14 people are unaccounted for following a landslide in the Val Bondasca region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden on Wednesday. Rocks and earth poured down the valley. A video of the landslide can be seen here. RTS shows the aftermath in another video.
According to local police, six of the 14 have been reported missing by relatives and two others have not responded to calls. Among these eight, two are Swiss, two are Austrian and four are German.
The villages of Bondo, Promontogno, Sottoponte and Spino have been evacuated as a precaution.
A total of 12 buildings have been damaged and the road between Stampa and Castasegna has been closed.
