20 Minutes.
The newspaper 20 Minutes reported that around 22,000 Volkswagen cars in Switzerland are to be recalled because their ABS brake system does not function correctly.
On Wednesday, blick.ch published a statement made by Dino Graf, a spokesperson for Amag, a Swiss car importer, that confirms the manufacturer’s recall plan. Swiss VW owners will be informed from 17 July 2017.
385,000 cars are affected with the same issue in Germany, according to Reuters. The cars’ braking control system may not function properly in certain driving situations, such as slamming on the brakes.
The cars require a software update.
The Reuter’s report was relayed from a news agency based on information given by someone from the car maker.
VW, Audi and Skoda brands are affected.
