The Zurich mosque shooting suspect has been found dead according to Zurich police. A body found in the vicinity of the mosque is believed by local police to be that of the individual suspected of injuring three people at the Zurich Islamic Centre located at Eisgasse 6, not far from Zurich’s main train station. According to Bloomberg, police investigators have suspended a hunt for the suspected gunman behind the attack on a mosque frequented by mainly Somali migrants after the discovery of the body.
Yesterday, a gunman dressed in black entered the prayer hall and opened fire, wounding three people before fleeing, a Zurich police spokesman told The Associated Press, according to Bloomberg.
In a tweet, Zurich police said they had found no evidence that the suspect was connected to Islamic State.
