In Geneva, the daily high will fall from 26 to 19, in Zurich from 25 to 16 and in Basel from 27 to 18.

A cold front is forecast to bring rain and cooler temperatures.
Temperatures are forecast to stay at these lower levels at least until next Monday, far from the highs experienced in July. The temperature rose to 38 degrees in Sion on 25 July 2019.
Technically, autumn begins on 1 September, however summery temperatures sometimes extend into September.
