The start date has not been set but the streets have been chosen.
During the night the speed limit will fall to 30km/h on rue de Lausanne on the stretch between the train station and avenue de France. The same measure will be applied to rue de Lyon and rue de Voltaire.
The aim is to reduce noise during sleeping hours.
According to the newspaper Tribune de Genève the canton agreed this autumn to run these tests.
Similar daytime tests will be run on boulevard du Pont-d’Arve and boulevard de la Tour.
A similar experiment was run in Lausanne in 2017.
