ALL YEAR ROUND
Following two years of renovation, the Olympic Museum of Lausanne is open again with an additional 1,000 m2 of exhibition space. The permanent exhibits have been redeveloped entirely for a new and improved visitor experience as well as innovative educational areas for younger visitors. The regular exhibits, which include ‘The Olympic World’, ‘The Olympic Games’ and ‘The Olympic Spirit’ are presented on three different floors. They explore essential parts of what the Olympics are truly about.
The Olympic Museum normally organizes two major temporary exhibits per year; the current one is ‘Chasing Time’ which focuses on how time is perceived by athletes and how it is measured in sport. Already planned for next year’s temporary exhibit is ‘Broadcasting the Games’, which will be dedicated to explaining the history and future possibilities of broadcasting the magic of the Olympic Games to the world.
The Olympic Museum also offers concerts, talks, and cultural and sports events. The Museum is open daily with ticket prices varying between CHF 18 for adults and CHF 10 for children. For the full programme, times and events please visit: www.olympic.org/museum
