Geneva’s cantonal Police advise motorists to avoid the area during the closure. Further information, such as detours, can be viewed on this map.
The upside, if you don’t need your car to get to Geneva, is there will be fun, food and activities in the centre of Geneva. Food trucks will be offering brunch on the Mont Blanc bridge. Delicacies include fondu fountains.
In addition, there will be pétanque, kite-flying, volleyball, and places to picnic. Attendees are invited to bring along their own garden furniture or to grab one of the tables and benches that will be provided by the event’s organisers.
A flyer on the event in English can be viewed here.
