This video on Vimeo by One Lidless Eye takes you on a journey through some of the most dramatic landscapes in the Swiss Alps. It takes in northern Lugano, Ticino, and Zermatt in the canton of Valais, ending with the breath-taking Matterhorn.
This year is the 150-year anniversary of the first ascent of the Matterhorn. The 4,478 metre peak was first ascended on 14 July 1865 by the British climber Edward Whymper and his team.
