As the seasons change so do the make-up trends and that is why today we are having a closer look at some of this year’s hottest spring make-up looks.
1. Winged eyeliner
This spring we are going back to basics with the return of the classic winged eyeliner. Bold graphic looks are out, precise eyeliner flicks are in. The easiest way to achieve the perfect winged look is by simply sweeping a thin line of liquid eyeliner along your upper lashes and flicking it out at the end. You can keep the effect subtle by extending the wing just a few millimeters past the outer corner of your eye or you can up the drama a bit by elongating the wing. Just make sure to keep your lines crisp and clean. Precision is key this spring!
2. A flash of color
Every year the beginning of spring marks the return of color and it does that not only in nature but also in make-up. The trend this season is to work with just pops of color rather than to use color allover. A hint of vivid orange in the inner corner of your eye, some bright yellow along your lower lash line or a touch of sky blue eyeliner? Anything goes this spring, so feel free to go all out and get creative.
3. Minimal
It looks like the I-woke-up-like-this hashtag won’t be disappearing any time soon, because minimal make-up is still very popular this spring season. The idea behind the minimal make-up trend is to emphasize your natural beauty and to enhance what is already there without looking like you are wearing a lot of make-up. Flawless, radiant and natural are the three biggest key words in this trend, so be prepared to become best friends with your concealer, your foundation and your illuminators this season. It is all about that base, after all.
4. Purple & brown
Purple is one of this season’s hottest eyeshadow colors. From soft lavenders and mauves to full-on purples and eggplant blues, as long as you stay in the purple family you will be alright this spring. Not feeling very passionate about purple? Another trending color this spring is brown. From soft beigy hues and warm caramels to rich chestnuts and deep chocolate tones, absolutely any shade of brown will do this season.
5. Reddish lips
Red lips were one of last winter’s biggest make-up trends, but now that spring has arrived it is time to trade in the vampy reds for brighter, softer and more wearable shades of red. The idea this season is to pick reds that look fresh, youthful and fun rather than dark and sexy. Still not quite sure what shade of red to go for? Just let the beautiful red hues of poppies, tulips, peonies and other spring flowers inspire you. With nature as your muse there is no way you can get it wrong this season.
Which of these five make-up trends will you be following this spring?

I’ll be following all 5 depending on my mood. I’d love to experiment more with colours but I’ve also been loving the minimal trend lately.
